Title: The Frog Princess

There are many different books by E D Baker. I am reading a great series that begins with The Frog Princess. This series is very good so far. The series contains a lot about magic and fairytale type kissing but overall it is a wholesome series. Emma, the main character, is a princess who doesn't fit the "mold" and has many adventures. The writing style and character development are well done in this series. All of my kids liked this book and I would recommend it. (Reading level, child dependent, about 4th grade and up)

Why "Kosher" Books Is Starting

Hi everyone - I'm starting this to have a blog for parents to help other parents find good quality reading material for their kids.

My goals for this blog are to have:

1. a good list of "Kosher" books - appropriate reading for different age kids

2. to get help from other parents who have voracious readers in their houses in order to have good stuff for my kids to read

The guidelines for this blog:

1. contributors welcome - you don't just have to comment on books that I post about, you can write a post about a book you have read

2. YOU must have read the book you are recommending (or advising against) and not heard 2nd hand from your child

3. Be honest - if you recommend a book but it has certain things in it you think other parents may want to know before they choose give it to their child - let them know so they can make an informed decision

4. All books discussed should give full title and author so parents can find what you are talking about

5. If you do want to contribute, email me and I will post your contribution

6. please COMMENT on anything you have read that is posted about - the more opinions the better
